The Viennese d´architects; cooperative Coop Himmelb (l) au, has been commissioned to design the Aalborg House Of Music, a multicultural complex where from the beginning they wanted to combine the program of a music school and an auditorium. It was inaugurated on March 29, 2014 in the presence of the Danish Queen Margaret II.
This fantastic building is equipped with various rehearsal, audition and concert rooms of different types. These rooms are arranged in a U-shape around the main room. It is an architecture that encourages constant exchange between the student and the teacher and between the viewer and the artist.
Frapont, has developed, manufactured and installed more than 600 doors of different types to adapt to the acoustic requirements necessary for the proper functioning of the rooms. Among them, the entrance doors to the main
auditorium with an attenuation of 50dB stand out, designed uniquely and especially for this project. To complete the project, the reception furniture, furniture for the bar area, dressers and wardrobes have also been
manufactured, as well as the installation of 5,000m2 of oak wood floors, another example of Fraponts versatility within a complex project with high technical requirements.
