For the refurbishment of the new headquarters of the Royal College of Music in by mixing sophistication and elegance in the historic centre of the capital, reinforcing an institution that grants the award of Polar music, considered the Nobel for classical music.
Each room is designed around its own musical approach, with different acoustic specifications. Frapont has carried out the manufacturing and installation of more than 5,000 m2 of acoustic panels in the common areas of the complex, in addition to the installation of wooden acoustic claddings in the other 150 rehearsal rooms.
The high acoustic demands of the project have been a great challenge of which we are especially proud. We love these kinds of projects because it is where wood, in addition of showing its transformation abilities, also stands out for its functionality in terms of acoustics and sound treatment. It is this subtle combination between engineering and design that enriches our work that is not only perceived by the eyes but is also reaffirmed with the other senses.
