The Triangle is a new, 38,000m2 headquarters building for Cambridge Assessment, the main entity who operates and manages the University of Cambridge three exam boards and carries out academic and operational research.
For their new head office, Cambridge Assessment asked the Architectural firm Eric Perry Architects to design a new open space with a warm atmosphere. Their vision was to create an inspiring new group of connected buildings, ranging from four to five storeys in height, focusing on employee wellness, with full service such as changing areas, showers and cycling provisions, and an in-house Wellbeing Centre. Since its completion in 2018, this building, has been rewarded by several architectural prizes, such as BCO Awards 2019. In collaboration with the international practice of designers BDP design , Frapont carried on the joinery and fit-out works in the meeting rooms, restaurants, coffee bars, Lobby and conference rooms. Tea points, partition walls, glass balustrade, false ceiling, sofas and wall cladding, were part of our scope of works, a mix of different items all finished with a nice and warm matching oak veneer .
This project was a success for Frapont, and thanks to our repeating client, confirm our presence in the UK market and our capacities of working under the strict UK Health & Safety regulations.
