In the Danish capital, next to the Central Station and Tivoli, there is a magnificent historic building from 1912, designed by Heinrich Wenck, originally built for the headquarters of the Danish Central Post Office. The architectural firm Krook & Tjӓder was commissioned to redesign the building into a luxury hotel. With the condition to change as little of the building’s exterior as possible, to instead work to create a first-class modern hotel inside. That’s where we came in.
We manufactured and installed all the doors of the hotel, which have been subjected to both acoustic and thermal tests and stresses. In the rooms we have made the custom wall coverings and baseboards, as well as in the corridors. In the common areas we manufactured and installed the fixed furniture, screens, ceilings and wainscoting.
It was a complex, detailed and sophisticated project. Certified to the highest local sustainability standards, we have worked hard with the client to obtain these certifications to qualify as a sustainable luxury hotel.
